Our ResearchIn Our Spare Time...
Many of our customers report the need to share one-time secrets in a secure and reliable fashion. These secrets may include passwords, symmetric encryption keys, or other personal/private information, like social security numbers. Email and SMS and other similar communications platforms are highly insecure mechanisms for sharing these kinds of sensitive data, outside of asymmetric encryption, which is sometimes impractical. And whilst there are services hosted on the public Internet, we can’t vouch for their security. This led us to design and develop BlackNote, an ephemeral and open source data sharing tool that may be hosted locally.
