Aerstone Achieves NSA’s National Security Cyber Assistance Program VAS Accreditation

ROCKVILLE, Maryland — February 6, 2017 — Aerstone today announced the company achieved NSA’s National Security Cyber Assistance Program (NSCAP) Vulnerability Assessment Service (VAS) Accreditation effective January 11, 2017. Aerstone is one of just five organizations verified as a vulnerability assessor during the NSA’s VAS pilot program.

The National Security Agency/Information Assurance Directorate (NSA/IAD) National Security Cyber Assistance Program vulnerability assessment accreditation was designed to meet the growing needs of the U.S. government, supplementing the vulnerability assessment and security scanning services that NSA/IAD provides to the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and other organizations as authorized and directed. The core objective of VAS accreditation is to recognize service providers that are available to supplement the internal capabilities of the owners, operators, and certifiers of classified and unclassified National Security Systems and qualified to provide rapid, on-site support services to National Security Systems owners and operators and Government Community Customers in vulnerability assessment.
