CEO

At the helm of Aerstone sits Frank Schugar, CEO, CISSP. Frank brings to the company over 25 years of extensive cybersecurity experience. In particular, his military experience as a U.S. Army Intelligence Officer—followed by his experience working with large corporations—has provided him with the leadership and management training he needs to ensure Aerstone’s continued success. His proudest accomplishments are reflected in the people he’s helped move forward in their own careers within Aerstone and beyond. Outside of his work, he’s also learning Italian and is involved with the group, Effective Law Enforcement for All, where he gets to learn about justice, as well as wealth and opportunity inequality.

Chloe Curtis is Aerstone’s Chief Operating Officer, spearheading initiatives that drive organizational excellence through strategic talent acquisition, marketing innovation, and process optimization. With certifications in AWS cloud computing and Google Cybersecurity, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing, Chloe brings a blend of technical and business acumen. Her extensive background in the financial sector—where she collaborated closely with auditors and senior operations leaders—has honed her expertise in streamlining workflows and fostering cross-functional alignment. Recognized for her resilience and commitment, Chloe is dedicated to advancing Aerstone’s operational success.

CIO

Robert (Rob) Cantanio is a member of the elite Project Management Institute and a PMI- and PMP-certified senior program manager for Aerstone. His storied experiences—from security management and network development to implementation and maintenance—have well-equipped him to help Aerstone clients breathe easier. And that’s exactly why he’s in charge of managing and directing Aerstone’s Federal Reserve Security Assessment Program and providing subject matter expert consulting and advisory to the Fed’s Security Assurance program. His work has resulted in clients’ increased revenue and profitability and improved reputations. He’s also a brass player and a Volunteer Bugler for the Armed Forces and First Responders memorial services.

CTO

Jeff Yates is a PNPT-certified cybersecurity professional specializing in offensive security, with over a decade of experience in penetration testing. As CTO of Aerstone, Jeff leads the penetration testing program by mentoring team members, developing standardized methodologies, and working closely with clients to deliver tailored security assessments. With a strong technical foundation, Jeff excels at identifying vulnerabilities and translating findings into actionable remediation strategies that help organizations strengthen their security posture. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new technologies, spending time outdoors, and is an accomplished handbell musician.
